Morning: Historical Exploration and Scenic Ride
Hanoi Pickup and Departure: Your journey begins with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Hanoi's Old Quarter or at the Hanoi Opera House. As we leave the city behind, enjoy the picturesque drive through the Vietnamese countryside.
Hoa Lu Ancient Capital: Our first stop is Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam from 968 to 1010. Here, you'll visit the temples dedicated to the Dinh and Le dynasties, gaining insight into the rich history and architectural splendor of these former ruling periods. This visit offers a deep dive into the feudal history of Vietnam.
Cycling in Ninh Binh: Next, we continue to Ninh Binh Mountain Side Homestay & Cafe. Here, you can enjoy a relaxed 30-minute cycling tour around the village. This is a great way to observe local life and take in the serene rural landscape. If cycling isn’t for you, feel free to walk around, take photos, or simply relax at the cafe.
Lunch at a Local Restaurant: Refuel with a delicious lunch featuring local specialties such as goat meat and fried rice. Vegetarian options are also available. Enjoy a variety of fresh, local fruits as part of this delightful meal.
Afternoon: Tam Coc and Mua Cave Adventure
Tam Coc Boat Ride: After lunch, we head to Tam Coc, often referred to as "Halong Bay on Land." Embark on a 1.5-hour bamboo boat ride along the serene waterways, surrounded by lush rice paddies, dramatic karst mountains, and a stunning cave system. This scenic boat trip is a highlight of the tour, offering breathtaking views and a peaceful escape.
Mua Caves and Lying Dragon Mountain: Our next stop is the Mua Caves. Climb nearly 500 steps to reach the summit of Lying Dragon Mountain, where you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views of Tam Coc and the surrounding countryside. The climb is challenging but the vistas from the top are truly spectacular and worth the effort.
Return to Hanoi: As the day concludes, we board our bus and make our way back to Hanoi. Reflect on the day's adventures and the beauty of rural Vietnam as we return to the city. We’ll drop you off at your hotel around 7:30-7:45 PM.
